Trip-Ready MOT

The things UK travellers forget most, in one checklist — documents, health, money, logistics, and your compensation rights. Tick as you go and see your live readiness score.

Quick Answer

The Trip-Ready MOT is a free 14-point interactive checklist covering the things UK travellers most commonly forget before a trip — passport validity, visa/ETA requirements, vaccinations, travel insurance, fee-free payment, airport parking, baggage allowance, and knowing your UK261 compensation rights. Tick items off as you sort them to see your live readiness score and exactly what to do next. Nothing you tick is sent to FlightLogic — your progress is saved only in this browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my checklist progress saved anywhere?

Only in your own browser, using local storage — nothing is sent to FlightLogic or stored on our servers. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your progress will reset.

What counts as "trip-ready"?

Ticking all 14 items across documents, health, money & insurance, logistics, and knowing your rights gets you to 100% and a "Trip ready!" verdict. Not every item applies to every trip — for example GHIC only matters for EU travel — so skip anything genuinely irrelevant to your destination.

How far ahead of my trip should I complete this?

Start 6–8 weeks out for passport renewal and vaccination checks, since both can take time. Insurance should be bought as soon as you book (for cancellation cover), and logistics items like parking and check-in are best done in the final week or two.
