Quick Answer

FlightLogic complies with the DMCC Act 2024: genuine experiences only, geolocation and transaction verification, prominent incentivised badges, chronological review sorting without cherry-picking, and a published enforcement and reporting process.

At FlightLogic, we believe that travel utility relies on absolute transparency. To ensure you have access to accurate, dependable information, we have implemented a strict Review Integrity Policy that complies with the UK Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) Act 2024.

We take reasonable and proportionate steps to prevent fake or misleading reviews from appearing on our platform. FlightLogic is published by Elite Digital AI Solutions Ltd.

1. Genuine experiences only

A "fake consumer review" is defined by law as one that is not based on a person's genuine experience. We mandate that all published reviews reflect actual visits to the specific airport lounge, restaurant, or facility depicted.

To enforce this, we utilise a multi-layered verification system. Reviews that fail verification checks are flagged as "Unverified" or rejected entirely. Editorial sample excerpts used in guides are labelled separately and are never presented as verified consumer submissions.

  • Geolocation verification — For fast, on-the-go reviews, we use secure geolocation checks (Cloudflare edge coordinates and/or browser location) to confirm the reviewer was within the airport or venue boundary at submission time.
  • Transaction verification — For comprehensive dining and lounge reviews, we verify digital receipts or reservation confirmations to confirm a transaction occurred at the specified venue.

2. Total transparency on incentives

The DMCC Act prohibits concealing the fact that a review has been incentivised. An incentive includes money, discounts, free products, or complimentary stays offered in return for a review.

If a user receives any form of compensation or reward for submitting a review on FlightLogic:

  • The reviewer is required to disclose this during the submission process.
  • The review will be prominently marked with an "Incentivised" badge directly next to the star rating.
  • A description of the specific incentive provided will be accessible alongside the review.

3. Neutral and fair presentation

We strictly prohibit the misleading presentation of consumer reviews. This means:

  • We do not suppress, hide, or delete negative reviews.
  • We do not artificially highlight or give greater prominence to positive reviews.
  • All review feeds default to strict chronological sorting (newest first) to prevent algorithmic "cherry-picking" of high ratings.
  • Aggregated star ratings on editorial pages are labelled as FlightLogic expert composites unless sourced exclusively from verified consumer submissions.
  • Distinct venues (e.g. a landside kiosk vs an airline lounge under the same brand) are never merged into a single rating.

4. Enforcement and reporting

We conduct regular assessments to evaluate the risk of fake reviews appearing on our platform. If we detect attempts to manipulate our review system, we will take immediate action, which may include permanent removal of offending content and suspension of responsible accounts.

If you suspect a review on FlightLogic violates this policy, contact our compliance team at hello@flightlogic.co.uk. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days. See also our Privacy Policy at /privacy/.

Does FlightLogic publish fake or incentivised reviews without disclosure?

No. We comply with the DMCC Act 2024. We do not publish fake reviews, commission undisclosed incentivised reviews, or suppress negative ratings. Incentivised content is always labelled with an "Incentivised" badge and a plain-English description of the reward.

How does geolocation verification work?

On live Cloudflare infrastructure, submission requests include edge geolocation (request.cf). We compare coordinates against published airport geofences (e.g. MAN, LHR, CGK). Browser geolocation is used as a fallback. Verification at the edge does not auto-publish reviews — all submissions pass editorial moderation.

What counts as a verified dining review?

A consumer review is marked verified only after geolocation validation within the venue geofence or transaction-gated proof (receipt/reservation) reviewed by our team. Editorial samples are labelled "Editorial sample" and never "Verified visit".

How are reviews sorted on restaurant pages?

Published reviews are sorted by date only (newest first). We do not default to "Most helpful" or rating-weighted sorts.

How do I report a suspected fake review?

Email hello@flightlogic.co.uk with the page URL and your concern. We investigate integrity reports under this policy and aim to acknowledge within 30 days.
