Airline directory FAQ

How many airlines does FlightLogic rate?

FlightLogic fully rates 28 major airlines with a 0–10 composite score, separate safety score, star rating, and category breakdowns. An additional 152 carriers appear in our A–Z directory with verified entity facts (IATA code, hub, alliance) pending full editorial rating.

What is the difference between rated and directory-only airlines?

Rated airlines have a FlightLogic composite score (0–10), safety score, editorial reviews, and category breakdowns. Directory-only listings provide verified facts — IATA/ICAO codes, hub, alliance, fleet size — plus FAQs, but no composite score until our editorial team publishes a full rating.

How do I compare airlines on FlightLogic?

Use the Compare tool at /airlines/compare to select up to four airlines and view side-by-side score breakdowns, strengths, weaknesses, and verdict summaries. Preset comparisons include Qatar vs Emirates vs Singapore Airlines and British Airways vs Virgin Atlantic.

How does FlightLogic score airlines?

FlightLogic uses a weighted 0–10 composite: Customer Service 20%, Seat Comfort 20%, Food & Beverage 15%, In-Flight Entertainment 10%, On-Time Performance 20%, Value for Money 15%. Safety is scored separately. Full methodology at /methodology.

Can I submit a review for an unrated airline?

Yes — email hello@flightlogic.co.uk with your boarding pass or booking proof. Reader feedback helps inform future coverage and which carriers we prioritise, but FlightLogic scores are editorial ratings and reader submissions are not published as ratings.
