Halal friendly airport lounge Amman — Plaza Premium review

Utility score: 7.6/10 AMM

Plaza Premium Lounge Amman

The FlightLogic verdict

Plaza Premium Lounge at Amman Airport is a solid independent option for Oneworld Emerald and Priority Pass holders, outperforming expectations for a regional hub. It will not rival a flagship lounge, but it is a comfortable, reliable stop.

A pleasant surprise during a Royal Jordanian connection. Hot food options and showers available.

I accessed Plaza Premium Lounge at Queen Alia International via Priority Pass during a four-hour Royal Jordanian connection from London. For a regional hub lounge, it outperformed expectations — hot Arabic and Western dishes, not just sandwiches and instant noodles.

The shower suites are clean and well-stocked with towels and toiletries. Wi-Fi was usable for email but struggled with video calls. Seating is a mix of armchairs and communal tables; during peak connection banks the lounge fills quickly and finding a quiet corner becomes difficult.

Oneworld Emerald members on qualifying Royal Jordanian itineraries also have access, making this a useful stop for BA and Qatar connecting passengers routing through Amman. It will not rival Al Mourjan or a flagship carrier lounge, but it is comfortable and reliable.

If you have Priority Pass through a US credit card (Amex Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve, etc.), this lounge is a solid free option during Middle East connections. Budget 45–60 minutes — enough for a hot meal and a shower before your onward flight.

Before you pack — pre-trip essentials

Flight and hotel links convert late. Finance, FX, insurance, and gear decisions happen weeks earlier — when professionals budget for long-haul stays. These picks fund FlightLogic without touching editorial scores.

Can Priority Pass get you into Plaza Premium Lounge Amman?

Yes — Priority Pass and LoungeKey generally grant entry, though peak Royal Jordanian connection banks can mean waits or capacity limits. Confirm in-app before travel.

Does Plaza Premium Amman have showers?

Yes — shower suites are included; useful during multi-hour connections through Queen Alia International.
